UNICEF says that children will not suffer from obesity, underweight and anemia related problems due to such nutritious food available at less than 20 rupees.

UNICEF has brought out a book for the good health of children. In this book, to keep children healthy, it is advised to eat paneer saddle rolls, uttams and sprouted lentils. Children will not suffer from obesity, underweight and anemia related problems due to such nutritious food available at less than 20 rupees.

The book is based on the results of the National Nutrition Survey 2016-18, which states that 35 per cent of children under 5 years of age are vulnerable, 17 per cent are obese and 33 per cent are underweight. In this, 40 percent girls and 18 percent boys were found to be victims of anemia.

According to this report, due to the increase in obesity in school children and adolescents, the risk of non-infectious diseases like diabetes has increased more than before. In this 28-page book, the recipe for making freshly prepared dish and the total cost involved in it is also given.

How to lose weight?

It has been told in the book that to cope with the problem of low weight, dishes like stuffed potato paratha, paneer saddle roll and sago cutlet are good. Sprouted lentil parathas, poha and vegetables are also considered good for removing obesity. In this, information about the amount of protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, iron, vitamin C and calcium in addition to the amount of calories is given in all the dishes.

UNICEF chief Henrietta H. Four says that the purpose of this book is to make people aware of nutritious food. It should also be added to the curriculum of schools. Translating it into regional languages will make it easy to reach people.
